Our pug Gretel and her first litter of puppies in 2014. It was a very nerve wracking experience but all went well and we still keep in touch with the new owners and even get together from time to time. She has had a second litter in the meantime, which is also to be the last. We kept 2 Puppies from the first litter, and one from the second.
Hansel is the father, he did a wonderful job in helping her in keeping the puppies clean in the following weeks.

For all who want to comment that Gretel should have opened (cleaned) the puppies herself, I would like to say that she and we were new at this and we certainly didn't want to take any risks of a puppy chocking. For all pro Vaxxers, Carla almost died after her first vaccination and from the last litter one of the puppies has a permanently damaged nervous system, can hardly walk. Ernie was also knocked out a year ago but recovered. Never again are our dogs getting a shot!!!
