The Agorist Farmers' Guide to Breeding Brown Bullhead Catfish Pt 1

This is my first video in a series that I've made about how to breed Brown Bullhead catfish. Brown Bullheads, also known as Red Cats, are great fish to keep for small scale aquaculture and aquaponics. They can tolerate a variety of water conditions and temperatures. Fully grown, they are easy to clean or fillet and yield a lot of meat that has a clean, buttery flavor profile. In my opinion, these are the best freshwater fish to raise for food.

Oh, and guess what? The US government is cracking down on commercial catfish farming. Big agriculture has petitioned the USDA to create regulations that make it impossible for small catfish farmers to operate. For example, catfish farmers must provide a facility, constructed to the USDA's standards, on site for the USDA's inspectors to work. Also, the USDA charges for the inspections, of course. It's all in the name of safety, but actually, it's all about protectionism.

So, here is an opportunity for you to be more self-sufficient while sticking it to Big Ag and crony government. Don't buy their products, produce your own.
