Off of my Album Illumination Station Presents: X-Static Dance Volume 1, a Wave for the Post Apocolyptic Get Down, is a glitched out track that heavily features the Mutable Instruments Clouds. The repeating shimmering glitchy sound that kind of goes all over the place is one of my earlier experiemtns with clouds. I then mixed it with more sounds from the eurorack and then some drums and other support from Maschine and Ableton.
Clouds is a granual synthesis modular that is able to cut up incoming audio into tiny pieces and put it back together in interesting ways. It can pitch shift and feedback on its self which is what causes some of the rising tones you hear in the shimmery parts.
This song has a glitchy, dirty but still happy vibe to it. Definitely a good one for dancing the night away.
