I'm Ethan Smith, and this is The STEEM Engine Express.

We begin today with a STEEM Engine newcomer. @tripdespider is an account by a collective with the same name that plans to share its efforts in content creation on Steemit. These include efforts in art, music, short films, video montages, and games. This week, they've offered a preview of their upcoming mobile game called &Black&White, a 2D stealth adventure developed with Unreal Engine. The post offers screenshots from gameplay, as well as summaries of the abilities of the main character and the goals for the game. If you enjoy game development, this post offers an interesting look into the story behind the game, as well as some previews of music from the game's soundtrack. The game will be out soon for Android and iOS, so be sure to follow @tripdespider for more announcements!

Engagement on Steemit comes naturally to many users, but what about engaging other Steemit users offline? This week, STEEM Engine passenger @pumpkinsandcats shares her experience at the first organized Steemit meetup in Wales. Featuring tea and cakes from user @pennsif and custom t-shirts sent by @papa-pepper, the Wales Steemit meetup was an overwhelming success. Be sure to check out this blog for photos from the event, and perhaps you'll get some ideas for organizing Steemit meetups in your area!

Steemit has brought together users from across the globe, and at The STEEM Engine, we have enjoyed hearing from our members from many countries and locales. This week, passenger @donfelix shares information about his home country of Nigeria. If you're interested in learning more about the country's history, divisions, climate, and tourism, check out this informative post about a region where Steemit has become very popular and has had a large economic impact.

Responding to comments on Steemit can be one of the best ways to meet new users and increase your followers. But what happens when you can't always respond to every comment? STEEM Engine passenger and infamous Railroad Cop @AwakentoLife shares a heartfelt open apology letter to his followers for neglecting to respond to comments on his blogs. @AwakentoLife takes this moment to share some tips for how to be aware of all comments on your posts, including the most helpful piece of advice to use @neander-squirrel's GINAbot to receive comment notifications on Discord. The latest chapter in his "My Life's Journey" post series, @AwakentoLife's posts offers great advice for Steemians new and old, so I hope you'll give it a read and check out his recommendations!

Finally today, we take a look at a new project on Steemit and its impact on STEEM Engine passengers. User @calumam shares his thoughts on the new BuddyUP project, which seeks to pair Steemians on Discord so they can support and engage each other. The project also has dedicated channels for information for new Steemians, as well as a gratitude channel and post promotion channel. If you're looking for information on getting started, or you're a seasoned Steemian looking to mentor other members, check out the BuddyUP Discord server today!

That's all for today's curation segment.
