I'm Ethan Smith, and this is The STEEM Engine Express

Today's Express takes a look at various travel destinations across the globe, seen via accounts from passengers on the STEEM Engine.

We begin by traveling to Split, Croatia, where passenger @dejan.vuckovic takes us on a photographic journey through the coastal city, which sits on a peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Boasting a population of over 350,000, Split has many popular tourist destinations, but the focus of Dejan's visit was the palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. This blog features many fantastic pictures of the palace as well as a history of Diocletian and his rule, so I encourage you to read this post and take a journey to the fourth century A.D.

It may be winter here in the United States, but that hasn't stopped passenger @insideoutlet from enjoying the Australian summer. In her latest blog, @insideoutlet shares photos from her recent summer hike through the Ellis Brook Reserve, a recreational area that offers four different trails to choose from. We embark with @insideoutlet and her sister as they brave the Sixty Foot Falls trail. You'll see plenty of photographs from their journey, including one looking down on the city of Perth. Do they make it to the waterfall? You'll have to read the blog to find out!

A journey across England has recently taken passenger @oen to both the Hepworth Wakefield Art Gallery and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Sharing many photos from both locales, @oen highlights some of the incredible art and architecture he's recently seen. If you're planning a trip, be sure to set aside a day, as the Yorkshire Park alone is gigantic and has many sculptures to see. @oen offers some great photos and information about both locations, so if you enjoy art and architecture, be sure to check out these blogs to learn about these great locations in the UK.

Texas is one of the largest states in the US, which means there are plenty of destinations to visit. Long time passenger @sultnpapper takes it upon himself to review various Texas destinations based on local BBQ restaurants. This week was no different, as @sultnpapper set out for San Antonio's Blanco BBQ. This particular installment of the ongoing series, "Will Eat BBQ 4 U" features an opening anecdote that's worth a blog of its own, so if you want to hear a little about San Antonio and a lot about BBQ, check out @sultnpapper's blog, specifically his post "My Niche - My first Texas BBQ Review," which gives a great overview of his monthly BBQ reviews!

Finally today, we head to Ollantaytambo, Peru, where passenger @coldsteem outlines his experience with Awamaki Tours, an organization which coordinates tours rooted in local culture. Awamaki Tours is a nonprofit company that provides local craftswomen with an income from their fees. ColdSteem's post is a fantastic look into the culture of Peru, and he offers many great photographs of the scenery and crafts. I believe Awamaki tours would be a fantastic organization to schedule a tour with if you are ever visiting Peru, so I hope you'll come to the same conclusion and plan a trip soon!

That's all for today's curation segment, so down the tracks we go to today's Featured Station. The @mitneb curation trail project has been featured before on the Express, but it now has a home on Discord. Passenger @mitneb seeks to curate users who speak English as a second language, and she does a great job of promoting new users from around the globe. If English isn't your first language, or you would like to support an international effort, head over to @mitneb's profile and join her Discord server today!

The STEEM Engine Express features five of the best posts curated by the STEEM Engine each week across the Steemit platform. The Express is produced by Ethan D. Smith exclusively for The STEEM Engine initiative on Steemit.com, and is featured throughout the week on the SteemStar.net radio network.
