I'm Ethan Smith, and this is the STEEM Engine Express.

We begin today with a look at an off-grid water storage solution near the site of Passenger @jackdub's future home. This blog post shows what it's like to have a 1000 gallon underground water tank as well as what it takes to fill the reservoir. If you're interested in off-grid living, take a look at this blog as it also talks about rainwater filtering. You may get some ideas for your next home construction project.

@derekrichardson is back with yet another Southern California Steemit meetup, this time at Big Mama's and Papa's Pizzeria in Eagle Rock, CA. If you're planning a local Steemit meetup, you can take some cues from this blog post, where the Steemians met to enjoy some great-looking pizza and discuss all sorts of topics. Steemit meetups are always fun to read about, and this one is no different, so I encourage you to head over to read this blog and plan your own meetup soon!

Passenger @watersnake101 takes us on a historic journey through the brand new National Museum of Natural History in the Philippines. Join watersnake on a photographic journey through the museum, which features many unique specimens and interesting exhibits. If you enjoy the blog, check to see if there are any museums near you and plan a trip. It could be lots of fun, and you'll always learn something new.

Passenger @robali123 hasn't been along on the STEEM Engine very long, but he's already made a splash with his submission this week, which features the process behind a very lovely handmade jewelry piece. Made from wire and a beautiful chrysocolla stone, the pendant is fantastically unique and brilliantly made. I encourage you to read about the entire process from design to completion, and be sure to follow @robali123 for future jewelry-related posts.

Finally today, we travel with @alvinauh (and his family) on their visit to Taiwan, which does not quite progress according to Alvin's plans. In his blog entitled, "I Survived 4 Days in Taipei.... With Children (Part 1)," Alvin recounts various aspects of the trip including the flight, the hotel, and plenty of food. Check out this blog if you are interested in traveling to Taiwan, and be sure to stay tuned for Part 2!

The STEEM Engine Express features five of the best posts curated by the STEEM Engine each week across the Steemit platform. The Express is produced by Ethan D. Smith exclusively for The STEEM Engine initiative on Steemit.com, and is featured throughout the week on the SteemStar.net radio network.
