Summary
OpenAI, a company sponsored by Elon Musk has developed an AI that uses Artificial General Intelligence. Instead of programing or hardcoding the AI, it learns through thousands of hours of simulated experience. The team utilized Microsoft Azure cloud computing for the project. Within six months the AI was able to master one of the heroes in Dota 2 and beat the best players in the world.

Next steps?
Obviously mastering a single hero in Dota2 isn't the be all end all of AI. The next steps is for it to master 5v5 with multiple different hero interactions. Each new variable adds hundreds of thousands of possibilities. It is going to be very interesting to see the development of this AI.
