Goa – the name in itself sparks a sense of excitement and makes you long for a relaxing day at the beach. The most happening party destination in the country, the state is forever brimming with tourists almost throughout the year. Though we all have been to the ever popular Baga, Calangute and Anjuna Beach; there are some unexplored hidden gems and best beaches in Goa that one must visit for a truly immersive experience.

Butterfly Beach

Arguably one of the most stunning beaches of Goa, Butterfly Beach is definitely underrated and unexplored by travelers. Hidden in an isolated cove, you will need to take a boat from Palolem or Agonda Beach to get here. Adventure seekers can also hike through the lush jungles around the beach. You will find a wide variety of butterflies, crabs, goldfish, amongst other sea creatures at this one of a kind beach. And if that’s not enough, you can experience a gorgeous sunset that is sure to leave you spellbound!

Cumbarjua Canal

The Cumbarjua Canal connects the two rivers of Mandovi and the Zuari and spreads to 15kms. You can spot crocodiles or opt for bird watching in the marshy banks of the canal. It is believed that about 100 years ago, these crocodiles were brought in to keep away invaders. Cruise down the canal and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Hollant Beach

A haven for photographers and artists – this beach is marked with clean water and shimmery sand thus making for a gorgeous scenery! Found in Bogmalo, South Goa, you can gorge on your favorite seafood favourites at the shacks by the beach or go for a swim to have an unforgettable time.

Chorla Ghats

Another hidden treasure located on the intersection of the borders of Goa, the Chorla Ghats are known for its natural beauty. Long lush trees, breathtaking waterfalls and rich biodiversity makes this place a must visit. Though, Chorla Ghats is marked with many small waterfalls, the Vazira Shakira fall (the twin waterfalls) should not be missed. The serene views ensures this trip will be a one to remember!

Galgibaga Beach

One of the cleanest beaches of Goa, Galgibaga Beach is located in South of Talpona river, South Goa. This beach is popular for being a hatching site of the endangered Olive Ridley turtle. One can leisurely meditate and unwind when visiting this quiet and untouched beach.
