Dome weighing 80 tons of tsunami impression in aceh

The tsunami on December 26, 2004 was indeed the greatest disaster in the history of Indonesia. Traces of the awesomeness of the tsunami waves that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives were still to be witnessed to this day.

One of the proofs of the awesomeness is the shifting dome of the mosque weighs 80 tons in the village of Gurah, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar. This dome was once the dome of the Jamik mosque in Lamteungoh Village, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar.

When the tsunami struck Aceh on December 26, 2004, the entire mosque building was damaged and leaving only the dome of the mosque with a diameter of 4x4 meters. The dome was carried by the current wave as far as 2.5 kilometers and washed ashore in Gurah Village. Now this place is busy visited by domestic and international tourists.
