What is dogecoin?
Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency that has been around since December of 2013. It was originally created as a “joke” currency by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer. Dogecoin soon became much more than a meme. Currently, dogecoin has a market cap of more than $1 billion and one dogecoin is worth $0.01. Dogecoin may not be the largest coin, but they have the best community that you can checkout at r/dogecoin.
What is the post doing?
I am teaching Steemit users about dogecoin and giving away 10 dogecoin to everyone who comments below with their address. To qualify, all you have to do is comment below with your dogecoin address, upvote this post, and tell me your favorite cryptocurrency. Following me is also appreciated.
What If I don’t have a Dogecoin address?
If you don’t have a dogecoin wallet or address, I recommend creating either a paper wallet or a web wallet. WalletGenerator.net is an open source tool that allows you to securely create paper wallets for many different cryptocurrencies. DogeChain is a popular web wallet that I also recommend.
You can download the official dogecoin wallet from dogecoin.com. There are versions for Windows, OS X, Linux, IOS, and Android.
