Ayy i can finally show this off, its the new character art for an old new Dungeons and Dragons character.
This is Kest
Human Warlock, recently upgraded to party Diplomancer.
He is a very nice young man that enjoys lying to people as much as possible, a goal made much more fun thanks to the magic powers taught to him by his ArchFae patron(like a big deal fairy noble, think Titania/Oberon from Midsummer nights dream), whom he is pretty infatuated with.
Hes the character i started the current campaign with (going on like a year and a half now god damn) who ,during a somewhat recent big climactic moment, appeared to die in a dramatic and uncharacteristically heroic sacrifice.
After which i started playing the Dark Elf Paladin that i previously posted art of here.
Cept he didnt really die, hah.
Hes just this week made his even more dramatic reemergence, surprising the hell out of some of the other players, which is great because i thought it was going to be really obvious, also because iv really missed playing as him.
Being the Stoic Dark Elf Paladin was cool and all, but you dont get to make many jokes as a character like that.
Even better, now that hes revealed i can actually show of this artwork, iv had to keep it under wraps so as to not spoil my fellow players, but thats over now.
Anyway, imma stop myself before i ramble all over about him, here are some of the development process.
Initial draft, surprisingly close to the final deal.
Basic colours, again just kind of got what i wanted on the first time.
Oh god the face looks so wierd, i dunno if its cuz its so pale or just the line work but euhhh.
Real close to the end, basically just polishing from here.
And from there it was fining up the coloring, and adding the...i guess environmental lighting?
