I use different accounts because I don't trust anyone outside of core Steem team wiht my keys to my account that I hold the majority of my Steem power in. If SteemConnect was to get hacked and give up patulrich keys then I wouldn't be as upset as if they did my patrickulrich account. It's fairly conspiracy minded but after my time in crypto i try to minimize risk as much as possible.
