My @DLive Content Management Introduction!

Hello @DLive community,

I’ve been seeing a lot of new users on @DLive with introduction videos. I wanted to join in on this but instead of a personal introduction blog, I thought I would do a Content Management introduction. I will also answer some of the frequently asked questions that I receive on Discord.

Who am I?

My name is Jimmy Lin. I am 29 years old (turning 30 this year). I am the Content Manager for DLive.io. If you are interested in learning more about me personally, you can find my Steemit Introduction blog here.

What is the Content Management team?

The main focus of the Content Management team is to reward quality content creators.
Curating content takes up the majority of our time but we do have other functions within the team that would probably bore you to death so I won’t mention it.

Who’s on the Content Management Team?

Currently the Content Management team consists of 4 people including myself. @imjohnnymills, @cheaky and @r3mr3m. Between the 4 of us and some help from other DLive team members, we are working around the clock to curate your live streams and videos.

Why haven’t I seen any of you in my live streams or videos lately?

In the early stages of DLive you might have seen us comment frequently in live streams and videos but we’ve had to stop because we didn’t want to get flagged as bots, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t watching. We still do comment here and there, just not as frequently.

Why haven't I received an up vote?

Our team is working around the clock to manually curate content, and as much as we would love to give every single person an up vote, every single time, we simply can't. We do our best to reward all the original content authors but if you haven't had a vote in a few days, don't let this discourage you. Keep up the great work.

I received an up vote but why is it less than someone else’s?

I would like to be as transparent as I can with the community because @DLive prides itself on being community driven and we are proud of the community we have built so far, but unfortunately I can’t give out details on how our voting matrix works. The reason behind this is, as a content viewer, I want to actually see how someone’s live stream or video is, rather than someone putting on a show, knowing that I am watching. What I can tell you is that we are trying to be as fair as possible when voting. We have set different categories and we score each live stream or video on them. In the end the % will even itself out, where you might lack in 1 of the categories, you could be absolutely killing it in another.

It excites me to see how much DLive has grown in the last few months. Our community is amazing and we hope that the community views the DLive team this way as well. If you’re not already on Discord please join us. We have a Community team that’s managed by @kassixo and it is the best way to get a hold of the DLive team.

I would like to write blog posts more frequently so if anyone has any ideas on something DLive related or not, leave it in the comments below.

Thanks for reading everyone!
Jimmy
