That is called lucky money. In the past, Vietnamese people, siblings came to the house and congratulated the new year.

Aunts, uncles, grandparents will give the children a red envelope. Vietnamese call it "Lì Xì", inside has money.
And they call it "lucky money".

The meaning of "Lì Sì" is that they want the recipient to have a new year of peace, health
