Mould making fun

Since we already have a lot of posts about art on Steemit, I would like to show you how art is produced. The part of working on the piece is always hidden and not many artists share information on the production process. However, in my opinion, this stage is one of the most interesting and for sure one of the most important.

Just like with posts on Steemit the more efforts you put in your future piece the better is output.

And in this post, you will see that mold making in a way is very time consuming, but final results will bring you satisfaction!

The process of mold making starts with choosing your object and putting it into clay bed. It is crucial to avoid gaps between your object and clay bed, so the silicon will not get inside and distort the shape of a future mold.

On the picture you can see small cones next to the bones. They are made so we can pour gips or any other material inside of silicon mold.

When we pour silicon on the top of our clay bed and it hardens... Not very best example as you can see small distortions on the borders.

This one seems much better!

Everything you have to do now is to choose your material whether it is a giluform gypsum or epoxy resin.

We just mix the material and pour it into the silicon form. Abracadabra!

This method allows you to do a mold of pretty much anything.

Now you are able to produce small gypsum copies of your body, mushrooms, toys or anything your imagination can come up with!
