What else can you do on Steemit?

pic

I mean, except blogging. Steemit went crazy in development as an ecosystem. All kind of communities and new projects are popping up every day. I am not even talking about contests, there are with the hundreds, and some of them are offering actually good prizes.

Yeah! Today we are going to get through the best ways to spend your time here, from what I could find out.

I will start with one project I found out with the help of @lishu just a few days ago.

It's about @steemmakers, a project which wants to reward makers and DIY-ers.

Mission
At SteemMakers we believe every individual has been gifted with unique talents. Talents come in many forms and one of them is the talent 'to make'. SteemMakers wants to support every maker with their efforts in a meritocratic way, unbiased by wealth or status.

Is how the statement on the about us page starts at https://www.steemmakers.com/about.php . I invite you to go there and give it a reading if you consider yourself a DIY-er or a maker. Also have a look at their faq to learn more about how your post should look like to be considered. Do you still have questions? Get on their Discord https://discord.gg/YJcAu8m .

I am already thinking to give it a go as I have so many DIY projects on the roll.

Next, we are going straight in some weekly contests I know about.

First I can think about is, MSS held by @valorforfreedom.

Nothing fancy, just write a post on your favourite theme and format it properly. Do that and you have a pretty good chance of winning. I did win once and I am not that good really :).

The second contest is a brand new one, is held by @worldwildflora.

Basically, you take a picture to some plant and add a description, just read the introductory post for all the necessary details.

Now let's get in some serious business.

Steemit is not only about blogging and writing articles anymore. A few days ago, I was reading one of @meno's posts and there was a short video of Mcaffee talking about how crypto gets the real value.

Man, that made me think a lot about the way Steem and Steem Dollars are used. And many of people who want to spend these coins, have to exchange them first. Now I am like, it has to be a way to buy physical goods directly with them coins. And I was right, the answer to my question was at one google away.

People (smarter than me obviously) thought about that even before my arrival on the platform.

Is not just one way, there are many! Most of them we can find at https://steemprojects.com/categories/ecommerce/

The one I found quite useful is @steembay, an auctions bot which allows you to sell your art or whatever, inside Steemit platform.

Talking about e-commerce. I found in some eight months old post, made by @adept, a way to add pay with Steem and SBD to a Shopify store.

Have a look at this post made by @xtrodinarypilot where he is asking for help as it might not be that simple. I will advise you to do your own research before :).

I don't know about you guys, but selling stuff for Steem/SBD sounds really attractive to me. Not like I have anything to sell right now though :D.

Last but not least, PeerHub it's an entire market where you can use your Steem to buy almost anything, or if you prefer, selling items for Steem.

All that, along with the numerous community-driven projects like @ecotrain, @tribesteemup, @steembasicincome, just to name a few, it gives me even more confidence in the Steem universe.

Of course, there are many other great initiatives and projects I have no idea about their existence, drop me a link or a handle in the comments if you feel like sharing some :).

What I am trying to say is, doesn't matter if you are not a blogger. There's is something for everyone. Find your thing and pic

Well, that's enough writing for today! Gotta get back to work, in the real world :P.
