I just stumbled upon the fact that Britannia left the Roman Empire in 410, and 66 years later (in 476) the Roman Empire broke down.
I know that arguments from analogy are rather weak (explained here).
Nonetheless I try an analogy between the exit of Britannia from the Roman Empire and the Brexit of our days.

It took 293 years for the Roman Empire to go from its peak (117 AD) to its loss of Britannia (410 AD). After the loss of Britannia it took 66 years until the fall of the Roman Empire (476 AD).
If we "translate" this sequence to the EU, I would say the peak of the EU was in 1992 (when it was founded; afterwards it just went downhill). So it took 24 years from the EU's peak to Brexit (1992-2016). That's 8.2% (24/293) of the time it took the Roman Empire to lose Britannia. So I'd expect that the time from the loss of Britain to the fall of the EU will also be 8.2% of the time it took the Roman Empire from the loss of Britannia to Rome's fall. That would give the EU 5.4 years (8.2%*66) as from 2016.
If that proves right, we should expect the EU's collapse at the end of May 2022 😲.

ich bin gerade über die Info gestolpert, dass Britannien das Römische Reich im Jahr 410 verlassen hat und 66 Jahre später (476) das Römische Reich zusammengebrochen ist.
Ich weiß, dass Analogieschlüsse eher schwach sind (hier erklärt).
Trotzdem versuche ich eine Analogie zwischen dem Austritt Britanniens aus dem Römischen Reich und dem Brexit unserer Tage.

Es dauerte 293 Jahre, bis das Römische Reich von seinem Höhepunkt (117 n. Chr.) zum Verlust Britanniens (410 n. Chr.) kam. Nach dem Verlust Britanniens dauerte es 66 Jahre bis zum Untergang des Römischen Reiches (476 n. Chr.).
Wenn wir diese Abfolge auf die EU "übersetzen", würde ich sagen, der Höhepunkt der EU war 1992 (als sie gegründet wurde; danach ging es nur noch bergab). Es dauerte also 24 Jahre vom Höhepunkt der EU bis zum Brexit (1992-2016). Das sind 8,2 % (24/293) der Zeit, die das Römische Reich brauchte, um Britannien zu verlieren. Ich gehe also davon aus, dass die Zeit vom Verlust Großbritanniens bis zum Untergang der EU ebenfalls 8,2 % der Zeit betragen wird, die das Römische Reich vom Verlust Britanniens bis zum Untergang Roms benötigte. Das würde bedeuten, dass die EU ab 2016 5,4 Jahre (8,2%*66) braucht.
Wenn das stimmt, sollten wir Ende Mai 2022 mit dem Zusammenbruch der EU rechnen 😲.

Acabo de tropezar con el hecho de que Britannia abandonó el Imperio Romano en el año 410, y 66 años más tarde (en el 476) el Imperio Romano se rompió.
Sé que los argumentos por analogía son bastante débiles (explicado aquí).
No obstante, intento una analogía entre la salida de Britania del Imperio Romano y el Brexit de nuestros días.

Si "traducimos" esta secuencia a la UE, yo diría que el punto álgido de la UE fue en 1992 (cuando se fundó; después sólo fue cuesta abajo). Así que desde el pico de la UE hasta el Brexit pasaron 24 años (1992-2016). Eso es el 8,2% (24/293) del tiempo que tardó el Imperio Romano en perder Britania. Así que espero que el tiempo desde la pérdida de Gran Bretaña hasta la caída de la UE sea también el 8,2% del tiempo que tardó el Imperio Romano desde la pérdida de Britania hasta la caída de Roma. Eso daría a la UE 5,4 años (8,2%*66) a partir de 2016.
Si eso resulta correcto, deberíamos esperar el colapso de la UE a finales de mayo de 2022 😲.
