| In the last 3 years 2 wars erupted, each with a clear aggressor: in 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine, in 2023 Gaza/Hamas invaded Israel. Both wars are still ongoing. Russia is still occupying Ukrainian territory, from Crimea to the Donbass, and the fight continues, with Ukraine offering brave resistance (even conquering parts of Kursk oblast). | Currently the will to support Ukraine is falling, both in the US and in Europe. While I can understand (especially in times of higher inflation) that Americans don't want their money to flow to Ukraine, I think it is in the long-term interest of the US (and the world) to prevent the fall of Ukraine and the fall of the rules-based order. Trump rides the wave of no-support-to-Ukraine (for electoral purposes), but I think and hope that - if elected - he'll soon realize that Putin is not interested in a negotiated peace. | Derzeit sinkt der Wille, die Ukraine zu unterstützen, sowohl in den USA als auch in Europa. | The best way to end a war is to win it, decisively and quickly. And - after decades of endless wars (Afghanistan, Iraq) - it is refreshing to see the determination of Israeli leadership to really end a war, even if that means to escalate and to remove the Iranian regime.
