The election campaign in Russia seemed destined to be the most boring in the history of the state since the collapse of the USSR. The non-alternative Putin was to sit in the number one chair for at least another six years, maintaining Russia's dreary status quo. Nevertheless, the alarm came from an unexpected source: Alexei Navalny, considered Putinism's number one prisoner, died under mysterious circumstances. The event is without exaggeration historic and it already has an impact on the further trajectory of Russia's development.

There is now polarization in the information space. Two opposite narratives are being promoted in the mass consciousness. If we look at the camp of the guardians, the picture is traditionally depressing. In the context of Navalny's death, the cogs of Putin's propaganda machine are squeaking about how disgusting it was to be a tool of external forces, a non-self-governing politician promoting the idea of the right to choose and the importance of putting it into practice. They can't understand the idea of a non-cattle existence, can't understand how one can live with one's head held high. These forces minimize Navalny's factor as much as possible. They paint him as zero.

In the opposite corner of the ring is a motley crowd consisting of liberals, nationalists, youth counter-elites for whom Navalny has become a martyr, an icon with the help of which one can go to smash Putinists. In the heads of some Russians, a bell rings: Navalny may not have been a superhero, but he had his own opinion, he was brave, and he was killed for these positive traits. He manifested the task of changing reality, he gave hope for some alternatives. It is not easy to judge how sincere this was, because he was surrounded by not the most well-meaning associates. Largely because of them, the majority of Russians did not really believe his appeals. However, his stoic behavior in prison is a complete antipode to Putin, who is simply a cowardly lowlife.

Even the outwardly attractive, stout Navalny contrasted with the curly and balding Putin. He couldn't even accept that fact. So the death of Putin's prisoner radicalizes the herbivorous opposition. Everyone can't be intimidated. Especially those who forced Putin to order the FSIN to urgently liquidate Navalny.

While there is a cacophony of arguments over Navalny's corpse, the true reasons for what is happening are slipping away. Those who draw parallels between the liquidation of Prigozhin and Navalny are right. Here we see links in the same chain. We should emphasize the escalation of the war between the GRU and FSB clans. In the summer of 2023, the Lubyanka neutralized the plans of the internal Kremlin opposition to enthrone Prigozhin. When the supporters of the transfer realized that the "happy grandfather" did not want to go anywhere, a military coup scenario was launched. And Prigozhin's group was quite close to victory, as there are simply no people willing to die for Putin. Then the regime was saved by reliable people in the FSB.

The group of transfer supporters was defeated, but the GRU knows how to lick its wounds and developed a new plan. It consisted of organizing Putin's isolation, freeing Navalny, and declaring him interim president. The idea could have succeeded, given the generally illegitimate nature of Putin's tenure in the Kremlin. But because of leaks, the Chekists were able to neutralize the plotters' idea. Putin's potential successor was swiftly liquidated, and at the same time the security forces in Moscow were alerted not to disperse the ridiculous monopickets, but to catch the conspirators.

The regime's tranquility has been disturbed, and the crack is at the very heart of the regime - among the security forces. Navalny has played his historic role here, although we are unlikely to learn about it soon."
