All desires come from attachments and all attachments come from ignorance. These attachments bind our energies; not allowing them to flow freely towards the source. This stagnation of energy is the cause of all diseases.
Energy has got 5 properties (known as Senses) i.e. Hearing, Sight, Taste, Touch & Smell. Mind uses these properties to satisfy the worldly desires. With practice and awareness, one can control the desires and with that, one can release the energies associated with these senses and redirect them towards higher levels.
With the rise of these energies, one experiences the light between the eyes (at third eye). When one proceeds further on this line, then a stage of Pure Spirit or Super-consciousness is experienced.
