Designers of the gall

Designer games do not always have a beautiful, original and successful result. There are cases in which one is not able to distinguish a "designer" object from a pure incarnation of kitsch.

Mediation, lacking in conceptual thinking or lack of taste. These are the qualities that damage the visual culture as a whole. But they give a reason for a frank conversation about the beautiful-ugly.

The Swedes of the Humans Since 1982 duo include religious in their project "Celebrating The Cross 1." The seemingly uncomfortable "bed" is attached to a huge black cross (crucifix). Although they deny the reference to religious symbolism (according to Swedes, the cross appears to be a comfortable form in the design of furniture), this furniture not only looks ominous, but also gives a form of fanatical engagement with religious practices.

Ana-Maria Pasescu Stewart, the designer with Romanian roots, has created a "Noose" Light, which is a lighting technique that uses light bulb instead of a lampshade .. The rope itself is a cable in the rope itself. The glow- according to its creator, is extremely convenient, allowing the user to manipulate the length and location of the beast. The dialogue (conceptual to where not) with darkness (the aura of the gallows) and light in this case does not guarantee applause.

The Dutch (and, in many cases, great) designer Hella Jongerius, combining high-tech craftsmanship with primitive technology, surprised with the "Grenoullie Table." The walnut mass was garnished with a huge wooden frog grown at one end. the frog is lined with blue enamel, a question of interpretation, but the thought of a "cutout" takes precedence.
