Deodorants and Breast Cancer

Deodorants

is basically a substance which is applied on the body, normally the underarms to prevent bad odor (BO).

These anti-perspirants are usually anti-bacterial as well to prevent the growth of bacteria which causes BO .

Breast Cancer

Guys. You can get breast cancer too. Just because the risk of getting it is lower doesn't mean that you won't. I guess I won't need to elaborating more on this. The name says it all.

Ingredients in Deodorant to look out for

Aluminium Compounds "i.e. aluminium chlorohydrate"

The purpose of having aluminium in the mixture is to block the pores, thus preventing sweat.

There are many rumors claiming that these compounds may actually reach the breast considering that the underarms are very close to the breast. Which may lead to the build up of aluminium and eventually breast cancer. Is there some truth to every rumor?

However, researchers are unable to find a strong link between these aluminium compounds and breast cancer. Researchers debunked the theory that the aluminium will build up in the breast over long time usage.  In fact, there is no build up of aluminium in the breast tissues.

Parabens

Studies show that is an actual concern. Researches have shown that parabens actually contain weak estrogen properties.

Estrogen is a known cause of breast cancer in females. As the underarm is just at the rear of the breast, it definitely raises red flags. Parabens may diffuse into the skin and flow to the breast where it may cause both normal and cancerous cells to grow and divide.

Please don't use this for breast enlargement, unless you would like to risk losing them.

Conclusion

Have a look on the labels before buying your favorite brand of deodorant.

If there is no label stating the ingredients, do not hesitate to contact the producers or Google it? I guess? ROFL

Thanks.
