DeepOnion reached a marketcap of 11 millons of dollars. This is a new record. We saw the Onions reaching a price of 5 USD some months ago, but the price of Bitcoin was around 4.500 USD in that time.
Let´s see some numbers:
August 30, 2017
Price per Onion: 4.83 USD (this is the maximum reached in USD)
Price in BTC: 0.00105086 satoshis (this is the maximum reached in BTC)
December 5, 2017
Price per Onion: 2.80 USD (this is the maximum reached in USD)
Price in BTC: 0.00023830 satoshis (this is the maximum reached in BTC)
As we see, the price in BTC is just 1/4 of the maximum. But if we compare the chart in USD, the price is more than 1/2 of the maximum reached.
This is just to show some numbers of what is happening about the Onions.
Returning to the main theme, my feeling is that this increase in price is basically due to the fact that one guy of the chinese community has managed to synchronize the wallet with the TOR NETWORK. This was a problem they had been carrying for some months, and apparently the problem is already solved. He did a great job with that.
From what I understand, the Chinese community of DeepOnion is very large, perhaps for that reason is that they are now investing in the project.
