New DC Graffiks - no good! :(

My newest pair i was so happy to come across - i had seen these about a year ago and before i had a chance to buy them the listing got removed! They popped up again 2 weeks ago..

In the listing it said the shoes were brand new but the box was slightly damaged because of storage. They arrived on a Thursday afternoon and i laced them up [skate shoes must be bar laced] and wore them into work on Friday - and then they pretty much fell apart during the day :(

I realized they had split up the sides, anywhere really that gets flexed, and the white top layer had de-laminated in so many spots on the shoe, the logo on the toes had started to come off, oh man i was pretty unhappy by the end of the day [and wondering if they'd make it home on my feet in one piece?!]

i was pretty sure they might be fakes, but comparing with other pairs i have they match up to a T, the stitching the tags etc, so it must be the fact they've been in storage for so long [i'm pretty sure they stopped producing the DC Graffik for women/girls in 2013] that the glue must have worn away or not be bonding anymore.

I messaged the seller who was as surprised as i was, thankfully they refunded me right away and were so sorry about the whole thing, i was worried id be in for a fight for some reason! I still have the shoes so they will be relegated to Garage/Car/Garden shoes, ill pack the gaps with silicone and see how long they last before they actually fall apart, they don't need to be pretty.

[But they are! i so wish they weren't ruined, they were meant to be the new 'everydayers']

On with the eternal search :)
