Oil Press: Olive Tree VS Sunflower Seed

Introducing Oil Press (Epic) whose only purpose at the moment is to craft oil from either sunflower or olive crop.

It is still best to have it constructed on a Legendary Plot (Hi-Tec/Trinity). Refer to table below for the bonuses.

Aside from the Land/Plot, you would need the following:
1 Oil Press Blueprint
3 Wood Plank
4 Copper Ingot
2 Iron Ingot

If you have an existing Saw Mill and Furnace Equipment,
1 Oil Press Blueprint
3 Wood Plank = 9 Wood + 300 CROP (Saw Mill)
4 Copper Ingot = 16 Copper Ore + 4 Charcoal + 1000 CROP (Furnace)
2 Iron Ingot = 6 Iron Ore + 2 Charcoal + 1000 CROP (Furnace)

  • Not in a hurry as crafting takes time
  • May be cheaper if you just got the resources from season chest

Approximate cost of building the equipment would range from 136 to 230 SWAP.HIVE
Market place only has 1 Oil Press Equipment (Awesome Plot) which costs 210 SWAP.HIVE

For the produce in a 60-day cycle to maximize usage of the equipment:
Both Sunflower Seed (Fall/Summer) and Olive Tree (Spring) will keep producing until their respective season ends with the former having a 10% Chance to not go on cooldown.

A Sunflower Seed will produce 3 crops per 7 days which means 6 crops per season. If the special ability will trigger, that's 12 crops per 60 days.

On the other hand, Olive Tree produces 3 crops during its season totaling to 45 crops every 60 days.

Sunflower Seed is at least 90 SWAP.HIVE while Olive Tree is at least 85 SWAP.HIVE at the Marketplace

Jumbled thoughts:

  • better save resources to craft the higher tiered resources when building the equipment since am not in a hurry. or watch out for cheap resources in the marketplace from time to time.
  • definitely best to use the legendary plot for the bonuses but epic plot should still work. current GAS cost is at 0.1 CROP/GAS.
  • best to buy olive trees instead of sunflower seeds as it is currently cheaper. no need to plant it on a plot and wait for it to mature.
  • approximate CROP/SHARE every end of season is 0.45/SHARE so it is better to craft oil and sell them for shares than selling the actual crop produced.
  • above data does not take into consideration any bonus crops or shares/quality. conservative estimation only.
