Hi everyone,
I am so exited to be back.
On September 9th I organised a concert with the Petra Haller and Meg Morley Duo and for the first time we were featuring another musician. This time we Featured trumpet player Loz Speyer, who both of us have known for a very long time, and have also performed with on numerous occasions, but we have never added anyone to our duo before, since we were trying to establish ourselves as a duo first. Since this month we had three concerts coming up, we decided it would be a great opportunity to ask someone to join.
Loz is at home both in composed and improvised music, and he played trumpet, fluegelhorn and brought some bells.
of course Meg was there too, and me on tap.
the church really helped us get the word out and advertised us on their Mailchimp newsletter as well. One of the most valuable thing of self - organising is that you can grow your mailing list.
The best thing about churches is, that the acoustics are great. Everything sounds much better than in any other environment.
Also a massive thank you to Chris Freeman for the amazing pictures. There is also a vlog that will follow on YouTube and @dtube as soon as I got a chance to edit it.
