Road-leaning XC bike (XC bike set up for road and mild off-road conditions) takes a wrong turn towards a 700 MASL mountain via a rough road only AM bikes can handle.
I climbed this mountain on this same bike previously but with larger knobby tires, an aggressive geometry, and a 110mm-travel fork.
The uphill was hard and the descent was incredibly harder.
Lesson learned!
