Have another amazing Friday and weekend to all the gamers out there! This week many seem to be in the mood for Nintendo products from the Wii to the Switch. Also some nostalgic towards some older games as well in this one. I hope the game stories and reviews in this edition help you find something to do this weekend. Enjoy and see you next time.

@Volderhein wrote a very passionate and heartfelt post during the week called My Wii U and How it Embodies All of My Old Consoles. As gamers we often have our gotos in life that can come in the form of a video game or even a platform we just love playing on. This is also a great nostalgic piece as he goes into some older and former consoles. This should bring up some great memoirs for anyone who has been gaming since they were a kid!

@Elfranz has been going on a League of Legends(LoL) content binge as of late. For those not in the know, Worlds is currently going which is Esports event for this game. If you really love Esports and just don’t have the time you will find a to the point break down and match winners being announced in posts such as Day 1 group stage recap. A great way to stay informed of what is going on in LoL when you don’t always have the time to watch the entire thing.

@Retro-room is coming back from a short break with more game reviews and other content such as showing his gaming room. This time he explores Hollow Knight a game that he gave an extremely high praise over. In fact, we are blessed he was even willing to put this game down long enough to even write up a review on it! In it, you get to hear about a gaming genre I have never heard of before called “Metroidvania.” Along with all the things that got his gaming heart beating of joy over this adventure game. A must read for anyone looking to pick up a game to start playing over the weekend if they are into this genre.

@Reiny produces gaming reviews in both Spanish and English. Often times she is reviewing older but really good games that you might have missed years ago. Many times they bring back memories and a desire to dust off some older games and give them another play. This time around she wrote a review on SimCity Creator from the Wii. If you are in a city building mood this post might just be for you.

pixelbites.png

@Pixelbites has two different styles of game reviews he writes one being called backlog review and another being game bites. In his most recent game bites edition, he reviews Graveyard Keeper. The post includes both a video and written content that are the same so you can just pick which format you prefer to enjoy. A rather dark game and he fully lets you know the game has some issues. There is some humor, quite an attention to detail, and some great examples to help the reader better understand his point of view and being able to relate it to something else they might understand.
