Little Jockey Fight Guts In Horse Race

Aceh is famous for the many tribes that inhabit Aceh, one of the Gayo tribe, who live in the central region.
Geographically, Central Aceh District is located in the highlands of Gayo. Other regencies in this area are Bener Meriah Regency and Gayo Lues Regency.

The Gayo highlands, known as the cool city nicknames, store a variety of cultural treasures and customs. Horse racing, as evidence Gayo culture is still sustainable to this day.

The horse "kude" (gayo language), in addition to being used as a means of transportation in the past, is also reared as a racehorse to entertain the community after harvesting paddy rice.

Horse race "pacemaker" (in Gayo), has now become a regular agenda of Central Aceh District Government, Bener Meriah and Gayo Lues. The event is usually held on the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the anniversary of the local district.

Thousands of people enthusiastically watch the little jockeys racing in the Blang Bebangka Racetrack, Central Aceh.
the uniqueness of this horse race without the use of a saddle.

Horse racing has been the entertainment of Gayo people for years, as well as the attraction of tourism.
