The 12 months old project (BAT) has been making waves ever since it was launched. It's aim is to revive the way in which people use the internet and how the interact with advertisements. Already, a lot of improvements has been done on the project but still has a long way to go.
The project was able to raise $36 million worth of ETH in their ICO conducted some time last year, only in 30 secs. That is to show how user's believe in this new token. Although, other ICO's have been raising a good amount of ether during their ico, 2years ago, and BAT is still one of the few to have sold out quickly.
I personally read about the project, not too long ago from a friend (@michaelluchies) on steemit who introduced it to the large number of people on steemit who cared to know.
He also talked about the BAT token and how it has started working in partnership with the brave browser but I still do not understand how the payment works. So if you are reading this @michaelluchies, do well to reply how the pay out does work.
The initiators are still engaged in a lot of community-driven promotion. Apart from the brave browser, theythey have also partnered with YouTube and Twitch. Currently the token is on CMC, trading at $0.29 as at the time of filling this report. It is ranked on the 58 position on CMC list.
So if you know that you don't own some amount of BAT tokens, you better do well by getting some for yourself.
