Since then, markets have recovered and fallen, and commentators are anxious to see if support of around $ 7,000 can sustain July's gains.

Today's downward movement accompanies the temporary volatility in the OKEx cryptocurrency exchange, which confirmed that it had injected $ 2 500 BTC in order to stabilize the impending liquidations of futures. The crypto exchange added that it will add a new "anti-tampering policy" on August 4 to prevent such incidents from reoccurring on an even larger scale.

Traditionally, Bitcoin has experienced a bearish pressure in the period immediately prior to the settlement of futures contracts of several operators.

In the altcoins markets, Ethereum (ETH) managed to stop losses compared to Bitcoin, falling around 1.1 percent in the 24 hours after this edition and currently operating at around $ 409.
