I've been having the same situation. I'm looking in mining it myself. The it's an interesting Crypto currency and has its morals set in the right direction. I really would like to support Earthcoin but with the deposit big its hard.
Has anyone downloaded the client and had it successfully synchronized the block chain? Mineing Earthcoin might be the best bet.
