Last week I wrote about a new smartphone announced by Sirin Labs and that it will come with Status (SNT) pre-loaded on the phone. The phone is called the Finney. Having Status on the phone will allow the phone to be able to access smart contracts, cryptocurrencies and encrypted messaging.
At that time I thought it was big news for Status Network Token. Well it just got much bigger.
Sirin Labs has announced that the most notable soccer star of our time Leo Messi, to be their brand ambassador. Sirin is trying to bring blockchain into mass adoption. By signing up Messi they will surely get a huge boost in doing so.
Messi states that he is “excited to join SIRIN LABS as an ambassador to make blockchain more friendly with their upcoming operating system for smartphones”.
Blockchain and crypto are exciting areas to be in right now. Early projects are starting to come into fruition. I'm really looking forward to what 2018 will bring!
