Cryptocurrency as payment accepted >> STARBUCKS Corp. Chairman Howard Schultz announces plans

Great News for the Cryptoworld

Yesterday the Starbucks Corp. Chairman Howard Schultz announced their plans to incorporate the blockchain technology as part of their payment system.

If this happens , Starbucks will be one of the first major street shops that accept cryptocurrencies.

Another important aspect of the announcement was that he made clear it won't be bitcoin.

He explained he don't belive that 'Bitcoin is going to be a currency today or in the future' , as much more he belives in the possibilities of the new blockchain technology and he thinks that there are a few trusted currencies.

If you remember , Starbucks published a mobile payment app in 2015 which consumers can use to pay/order drinks.
Today nearly 35% of the mobile payment is made via the app.

Now we come to the next big question:

This is no financial advise it is just my personal opinion!

I think that one of these two coins LTC or XLM could be the currency that will be used for Starbucks payments in the future.

Regardless of these two is accepted , it will have an healthy effect on its market price.

But the bottom line is , it doesn't really matter which currency is accepted for payments , the most important thing is that crypto currencies will be accepted for daily payments in the future.

This would be a huge step in the right direction, a decentralized financial world without fiat .

Have a nice day,
