Here is an odd fact, Chelan county in the state of Washington has more than 16 crypto mining operations running. And there are more coming. Why, in a county that has a population of only 72,400 people?

Cheap power!

As you may know, bitcoin mining is a power hungry beast. Miners have sought out cheap power wherever they can find it in the world. Even to remote Iceland with its geothermal sources.

In Chelan county, some miners have requested high density loads as much as 100MWs!

When you think of cryptocurrency and bitcoin and how it would change the world, you probably never considered places like Chelan county. The future is going to be interesting.
