Project Overview
DENT Wireless is creating the first exchange where mobile wireless data can be packaged then donated or sold. They will be looking to tap into the projected $4.8 billion (or 15%) annually of forfeited data while also providing a direct to user platform for providers to sell data packages. The project has been around in some capacity since 2014 but the token sale will be the first round of funding and will be used to build out the platform, bring on partners (namely telcos) and run marketing to drive adoption. The DENT token will be used as a medium of exchange in the marketplace.
Background
DENT Wireless was founded in 2014 as Commando Coder, Ltd. By Tero Katajainen to develop an automated FOREX trading system. The product was integrated into MetaTrader to enable trading from a web application, and parts of that project have now been integrated into the DENT exchange. In 2017 the other founders invested in the company and joined Tero.
Market
There are three main areas where DENT sees their marketplace solving major problems with the current wireless data model.
- A simple and cheap solution to accessing roaming data for travelers and a way for those with wireless plans to gain from unused data in their plan.
- Platform for IoT and connected devices to access data as needed without human intervention
- Cutting the operator middleman out from between local providers and users seeking data
On top of building the platform, phase 1 of the build out will be focused on bringing on telco partners and clearing up any regulatory hurdles in target geographies.

70 Billion DENT will be sold of a total 100 Billion created. 65% percent of the 70% sold will be available in the presale to large investors (minimum investment of 20ETH) with the balance available in the main sale.
