Common Cents: A call to action

The Great Commission

Thomas Paine, The Father of the American Revolution, wrote Common Sense imploring the colonists to unite against British corruption. I write Common Cents urging citizens of the United Sates to break free from the oppressive yolk of our government and take a stand for humanity; to contribute the budding development of the blockchain industry using our common cents: cryptocurrency. Paine, as a visionary, was able to see the unique position that he and his fellow revolutionaries were in and how they could leverage said position to change the world. That is where I believe that we find ourselves today. It is as he says:

"We have it in our power to begin the world over again."
— Thomas Paine, Common Sense

But the Terms and Services say...

Most ICOs say that U.S. Citizens are prohibited from participating. Why? To protect their asses from the oppression of the United States government. A government that is able to attack businesses that are far outside of their own jurisdiction—marching about the world as if they own the place. Regardless of what the Terms and Services say, if you are holding onto cryptocurrency, and you believe this blockchain startup, contribute. It is absolutely hypocritical not to. You are holding onto libertarian currency. Use it.

Our New Founding Fathers

Satoshi Nakamoto along with various Mathematicians, Cryptographers, have dedicated their lives to providing a way for humans to economically interact without the need for trusted third parties. They have given us a way to regain control and privacy over our funds. Let their work not be in vain. Let us not disgrace their names.

A New Revolution

Blockchain, or should I say blockchange, has the potential to completely revolutionize our world in so many ways. It is about restoring power to the individual. To dethrone the centralized authoritarian governments. How much longer we allow ourselves to fall victim to the corruption of the United States government. How much longer will we continue to pay for presidents to vacation? The United States government is stiffing innovation with their repressive regulatory system. Because of this the majority of blockchain startups are located outside of the U.S. We are humans first, Americans second. We have a financial duty to support this industry. To contribute to these incipient blockchain startups.

Common Cents

We all have this common cent, cryptocurrency, that unites us as humans with the power to elicit change. There was not a time in history such as there is now. Let us not squander this rare opportunity to aid in the advancement and betterment of the human race.
