Are we swimming in calm waters knowing that Zimbabwe recently banned Diamond coins (DMD), Bitcoins (BTC) and altcoins?

Zimbabwean Central Bank Considers Bitcoin ‘Illegal’.

I asked our DMD community if there is a remote possibility for all governments around the world to make concerted/semi-concerted efforts to render all cryptocurrencies illegal? In addition, I asked who would need to use cryptocurrencies in such an crypto-outlaw-scenario? Thieves and bandits? shady investors? which cryptocurrencies would survive that scenario?

One of our developers made three very good points that i would like to share with you. He said:

"It will not happen because there is no global consensus on many issues, and certainly not in the area of cryptocurrencies/blockchain technology. We all saw what limited effects the Chinese restrictions had. In fact, BTC value has increased four fold since. Cryptocurrences are now:
1. too big to fail
2. too decentralized to fail and
3. too many rich people don't want it to fail. " Helmut

As a result, the recent Zimbabwean bans, or any other governmental bans will most probably not affect DMD, BTC or any other cryptocurrencies much. We can all continue swimming calmly in the waters.

Needless to say, I'm heavily invested in DMD coins so please do your research before drawing your own conclusions.
