According to Gems whitepaper, billions of micro tasks are completed each year, and it's just the beginning with increasing demant for IOT, AI and dapps. There are already popular platforms like Amazon’s MTurk and CrowdFlower, but they are centralized and have the following disadvantages:
- Millions of unbanked potential workers are unable to join such platforms and get paid for carrying out micro tasks
