Yesterday was the big day.
Launched their genesis block on July 17th 2017, and are now finally trading on Bittrex as of yesterday .

You would think with all those 7's, the launch date has got to be like hitting a jackpot or something 😜
Earlier this March, many longtime holders of ShadowCash (SDC), were very excited, awaiting the news of an upcoming marketplace.
However, instead of delivering a marketplace, the developers of ShadowCash, decided to shock the world (mainly the hodlers of SDC), with an entirely new project.
A lot of short term speculators, who bought in close to $4 dollars an SDC token, were exasperated because they took a 50% hit due to the rebrand.
I'll spare you the FUD, but the announcement of the Particl project sent the price of SDC tumbling.
Left out of the decision making process, core supporters of the community felt betrayed as if they had no say in the rebrand.
Yet, from a business standpoint, the decision and execution was brilliant.
Two main things happened:
- ShadowCash had been around for many years, and a significant number of wallets and coins hadn't been accessed in quite some time. So this allowed the project to shed stagnant/lost coins.
- It allowed the company to shed the name, ShadowCash, which according to attorneys and other counsel would hinder growth and adaption.
Following a 1:1 coinswap, a small BTC bonus funding round, 4 months of waiting.
We have finally hit takeoff. 🚀🚀🚀
Hindsight 20/20
Recently Alpha-Bay (a darknet) was shut down, the owner found hung dead in a jail cell in Thailand. Supposedly it was a "suicide"
Right? A guy with 4 Lambo's and ample property would just "hang himself".
Hansa market was the next one to follow in succession.
In the past it has been various Silk roads.
Let's be blatant about it, establishment politics have failed.
The 1% going after the 99% of the worlds drug dealers.
Why is this paradigm so familiar?
The issues regarding above mentioned darkmarkets are asymptotic to centralization.

There is clearly a niche here that no existing team, group, or market has attempted to tackle the way the particl is.
This is where I see many value propositions that Particl can fulfill.
This is where I smell opportunity.
