The next hard fork of the Ethereum network called Constantinople is postponed until the beginning of 2019, the developers confirmed at a meeting on Friday.

Initially, it was expected that the update will be activated in November, but the developers were forced to revise the previously announced terms after detecting several bugs in the process of launching the update in the test network. Thus, they decided that trying to update before the end of the year is unreasonable, and as the most likely date is the end of January or February.

"I can't stop thinking that we're in a hurry. We need to stop and see what's going on," said developer Afri Shoden.
