Dashcoin was a Cryptonote cryptocurrency that Evan of Darkcoin tried to claim his purchased by purchasing only the Github account of the main developer. So Darkcoin became Dash. Perhaps you just wanted me to add this short summary to the Steem blockcain for safe keeping.
