India won the toss and elected to field first. India relied heavily on their strong batting order. Bangladesh opener provided a dream start. They made a partnership of 120 runs which was the highest for Bangladesh in this tournament. Mehidy Hassan was the first man to go. Jadhav broke the partnership. Mehidy scored 32 runs.

Liton Das was in sublime form. He played brilliant shorts all over the ground and completed his maiden test century in style. The way the opener provided a big start it seemed that Bangladesh will able to score 300 runs. But the other batsmen failed to capitalize and the wickets fall regulary. No other batsmen able to score big and all team got out at 222. For Bangladesh Liton Das scored 121 runs, Soumaya Sarkar 33 and Mehidy scored 32 and with 7 extras remaining players only added 29 runs.

Outstanding fielding and great fielding helped India to restrict Bangladesh to a manageable score. 3 of the Bangladesh batsmen got runout. For India Yadav took 3 and Jadhav took 2 wickets.
India openers provided a brisk start. Nazmul picket Dhawan at score of 35 runs. Dhawan made 15 runs. Rayudu departed after scoring 2 runs. Rohit sharma played some brillaint shorts & he lost the battle after scoring 48 runs. Dhoni Joined Karthik in the middle. Both made a decent partnership of 53 runs. This time Karthik departed after scoring 37 runs. Dhoni dismissal in 36th over gave a big hope to Bangladesh.Jhadav retired hurt at a score of 167 runs added more pressure on India. In the absence of Jhadav, Jadeja & Bhuvenshwar Kumar played some decent inning and India closed in the verge of victory. Both departed with less than 10 runs to score. Jhadav reentry helped India to win the match at the last ball of the match. Great fight back by team Bangladesh. Bangladeshi bowlers put their best efforts but their batsmen didn't contribute much with the bat.
Liton Das was rewarded man of the match award for his brilliant century. Dhawan was declared the Man of the Series.
