Amazing Feat Of Jonty Rhodes

South Africa's Jonty Rhodes is one of the three players in the history of cricket, who achieved the 'Man Of The Match' award in the international cricket, not for their batting or bowling but also for their fielding. The other two are West Indian Gus Logie and Australia's Mark Taylor.

On 14th November 1993, in an ODI match against the West Indies, Rhodes make this unique achievement with 5 extraordinary catches. It should be noted that this is the highest catch (5) record of one-day international cricket match ever.

It is said that,

At the time of studying in the high school, Rhodes could never get a chance in the playing XI of the school team. Once he got a chance to fielding as the 12th player and he make the team win with seven catches! And not only that, he was got the "Man Of The Match" award also.

This is the first and only incident in the cricket history where someone has become the "Man Of The Match" for playing as a 12th man.
Interestingly, from then on, Rhodes always got the chance in the playing XI as an 'automatic choice'.
