Continuing from the pouring medium experiment and upon realising I wasn't getting the amount of cells I've become accustomed to I decided to give silicone another go.
Not wanting to over do it, I only added silicone to the pink and purple paint. But as you can see from the picture below despite only adding one drop in each colour I still managed to get quite a few cells popping up and most of them penetrating right through to the white base of the canvas ~ which I didn't want.
Composition, colour and cells wise I wasnt happy with the end result at all and decided to scrape it.
Much better although in hindsight I should have added more white paint around the sides to get more negative space instead of having the messy scrape lines.
Here it is days later.
Not bad at all considering it's been scraped. I still don't like the cell quality the silicone created but it does set it apart from my previous pours and I kinda like that it's different.
Here's another pour I did (on the same day) also with silicone.
What do you guys reckon? Silicone or no silicone?
Or perhaps I'm using the wrong silicone?
Let me know your thoughts ❤
