Found a stack of old Animage magazines from the late seventies and eighties awhile back and noticed one of them had a Nausicaa comic in it! Looked online and apparently before it was a movie it was serialized

Nerima is considered the birthplace of Japanese anime, or at least one of them. You can find these bronze statues at Ooizumi-Gakuen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro metro line. All photos by me. Tetsuro
