Over the course of last year, the FreeCompliments Community has created several consistent jobs that pay out in HSBI. We’ve kept a payroll that has helped with the productivity and growth of the community. Here, I present a position that just opened up! Using the HSBI (Hive Stake-Based Income) model to pay employees allows them to receive permanent [income](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-income) as long as they keep creating posts. This means that even if they work for only a month or so, they’ll have a lifetime income, in the form of votes, as a result of the HSBI Units they receive, provided they keep posting to Hive. This job position unfortunately came about through a very unexpected circumstance, because our curator was doing a fantastic job and continues to communicate with me. [This is the post that made her quit her position](https://ecency.com/hive-174578/@anonyi/abuse-report-too-many-coincidences) because it broke too many ties with various members of the community, rendering it far too difficult for her to continue participating. I’m not using this as an accusation or proof of wrongdoing, etc. - rather, simply publicly acknowledging it as the reason for resignation. You can make your own judgment, and I will reserve mine. # The Job Position: Comment Curator This job position will consist of curating *all* human-written comments made on *all* posts published within the FreeCompliments Community. This will be done using the @fc-curation account. As this account is shared by our post curator, the goal is to cumulatively end up with a remaining voting power of approximately 70% (plus / minus a few percent, to allow for variation) at the end of all curation activities. Ideally, comment curation would be done on a daily basis to maximize the rewards that the account earns from curation, but once every couple of days is ok as well. If a vacation or multiple days off are requested for any reason, a common courtesy of letting myself know will be very helpful so that I can activate our back-up curator. # The payment offer I’m going to raise the pay for this position since I’m going to try to get more people to leave comments. This job will pay 15 HSBI per month. We will keep track of total comments made within the community, and if there are significant increases in activity, and curation is being done correctly, we’ll increase the pay accordingly. # Continuing to build Hive’s economy by adding different types of jobs The additional creation of jobs with various structures permits the expanding use case of Hive as a payment for services, in line with Hive’s function as [a medium of exchange.](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-medium-of-exchange) Creating multiple types of jobs using a similar payment system provides an initial basis for what can be considered a fair payment, thus establishing Hive as [a unit of account.](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-unit-of-account) The more jobs are created with Hive, the more we will validate its practical value. Once this happens, we will more readily be able to establish a consistent value of assets in terms of Hive, since it will be attached to work requirements; this will establish Hive’s [store of value.](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-store-of-value) Combining all of these factors will turn Hive into functional money. An economy must be built upon functional [money](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money). This is why we must take steps to ensure that Hive can, indeed, function as intended. Let’s continue creating different types of jobs and establish Hive’s practical value with practical use cases. # Conclusion In order to help the FreeCompliments and help continue the validation of Hive and HBD as valid forms of money, this is a dual job posting using HSBI with a unique structure of payment.
