https://i9.glitter-graphics.org/pub/1122/1122889uis5gpr73p.gif En ocasión, de que ayer 10 de octubre se celebró el Día Mundial de la Salud Mental, mi amiga @annafenix y yo volvimos a la carga con nuestra columna "Échame el cuento" con una nueva iniciativa para compartir con todos nuestros amigos en Hive. Esta vez decidimos enfocarnos en este tema tan importante para nosotros, ya que generalmente tendemos a no darle la verdadera importancia que tiene, hasta tanto no nos toque a nosotros o alguien cercano padecer algún malestar mental, por decirlo de alguna forma; es por ello que decidimos hacer una reflexión al respecto y aprovechar para ver que piensan todos ustedes y compartir nuestras experiencias. Para iniciar, debemos tener claro, lo que es la salud mental. Desde mi perspectiva; la salud mental es todo aquello que incluye nuestro bienestar, social, anímico, emocional, todo lo que nos sume, también implica saber establecer nuestros límites o mantener a raya todo aquello que nos reste, que nos perjudique, que nos haga sentir mal, desestabilizados, estresados. Es allí donde entran esas cosas que hacemos para tratar de mantener nuestra salud mental; cada persona tiene sus herramientas o tips para mantener saludable, esa parte de nuestra existencia. Por ejemplo, en mi caso una de las cosas que hago para mantenerme tranquila, es no ver tantas noticias, solo las necesarias, no soy de las personas que toman su teléfono y no salen de una aplicación de noticias o que mantienen su TV en un canal de estos noticieros diarios (tengo un tío que es así), sobre todo cuando se está viviendo una situación tensa al respecto, soy de las que prefiere esperar a que las cosas realmente se concreten y no estar mirando la opinión del uno o del otro... eso, por un lado, pero también existen otras cuestiones donde tienes que aprender a marcar una distancia con ciertas personas, ejemplo, las que nunca tienen nada bueno que decir, aquellas que son intrigantes, manipuladoras, chismosas y eso incluye familiares hasta amistades. Aquí es donde se habla de "podar" el árbol familiar y el de las amistades, a veces toca, para mantener nuestro bienestar emocional, por lo tanto, mental y en mi opinión personal, eso está bien. Pero así se evitan muchas malas situaciones, que nos desgastan, nos entristecen y nos generan muchos sentimientos y emociones negativas que pueden desencadenar en otras patologías, en este caso mentales, como la depresión, ansiedad, entre otras. Es por ello que en esta ocasión les vamos a pedir que nos echen el cuento de esas cosas que hacen para mantener su salud mental.

To begin with, we must be clear about what mental health is. From my perspective; mental health is everything that includes our welfare, social, emotional, emotional, everything that adds us, also involves knowing how to set our limits or keep at bay everything that subtracts us, that hurts us, that makes us feel bad, destabilized, stressed. That is where those things we do to try to maintain our mental health come in; each person has their own tools or tips to keep that part of our existence healthy. For example, in my case, one of the things I do to keep myself calm, is not to watch so much news, only the necessary, I am not one of those people who take their phone and do not leave a news application or keep their TV on a channel of these daily news (I have an uncle who is like that), especially when a tense situation is being lived in this regard, I am one of those who prefer to wait for things to really materialize and not to be watching the opinion of one or the other. ... that, on the one hand, but there are also other issues where you have to learn how to mark a distance with certain people, for example, those who never have anything good to say, those who are intriguing, manipulative, gossipy, and that includes family members and even friends. This is where we talk about “pruning” the family tree and that of friendships, sometimes it is necessary, to maintain our emotional well-being, therefore, mental and in my personal opinion, that's fine. But this way we avoid many bad situations, which wear us down, sadden us and generate many negative feelings and emotions that can trigger other pathologies, in this case mental, such as depression, anxiety, among others. That is why this time we are going to ask you to tell us about those things you do to maintain your mental health.
