El tamaño que quería era el de esta carpeta, que puedan entrar algunos documentos en caso de alguna deligencia. Lo corté con una forma redonda del lado superior.

The size I wanted was like this folder, just big enough to fit a few documents in case I need to run some errands. I cut it with a rounded shape at the top.

De forro opté por una tela blackout de 100%, es resistente y no permite que entre el agua, necesitaba algo que le aportara resistencia a mi morral de bluejeans.

For the lining, I chose a 100% blackout fabric. It's durable and water-resistant, which I needed to add strength to my denim backpack.

Recorté todas las piezas junto con las piezas del forro y comencé a unirlas en la máquina de coser.

En esta parte **me volví un ocho -diría mi tía-.** No supe cómo colocar el cierre, la lógica tras algunos minutos me dió para hacer esto, una abertura en la que cosí los bordes para asegurar y luego venir con el cierre. Pensé que tenía el pie ideal para pegar cierre y no, lo confundí con el de hojal 😒, este no es mi punto fuerte. Aún así como pude cosí el cierre con el pié de costura.

At this point, **I got all tangled up – as my aunt would say.** I didn’t know how to attach the zipper. After a few minutes, logic kicked in, and I ended up making an opening where I sewed the edges to secure it, and then added the zipper. I thought I had the right foot for attaching the zipper, but nope, I confused it with the buttonhole foot 😒. This isn't my strong suit. Still, I managed to sew the zipper using the regular sewing foot.

Continué a pesar de los imprevistos del cierre y uní las piezas... ya tenía buena forma🤩. Si mis amigos, el que persevera vence 😅.

I kept going despite the zipper mishaps and joined the pieces together... it was finally taking shape 🤩. As they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way 😅.

De un bolso viejo, ya caducado -también le había agarrado cariño y por eso no lo boté antes 😅- Saqué las asas, de color caramelo que combinarían bien con mi mochila.

From an old, worn-out bag – one I had grown attached to and that’s why I hadn’t thrown it out before 😅 – I took the handles, which are a caramel color and would match nicely with my backpack.

Corté las piezas del bolso anterior y fuí colocandolas en el mismo ordén en mi nuevo morral. ## Terminé de cerrar las piezas y este fue el resultado:

No pienses que soy una experta (las fotos son de lejos 😅) La costura es un hobbie para mi, aún no lo he convertido en una fuente de ingresos pero planeo hacerlo. Aún me falta mucho por aprender, como lo de colocar cierre. Pero el resultado me gustó, es original. Le coloqué un llavero lindo que me regalo una amiga. Mañana planeo extrenarlo, la verdad quedó bien espacioso. *"No te compares con otros, sino contigo mismo. Así tendrás motivos para alegrarte de tu trabajo", dice un libro sabio.* **-Ffyn.**

Don’t think of me as an expert (the photos are from afar 😅). Sewing is a hobby for me, and I haven’t turned it into a source of income yet, but I plan to. I still have a lot to learn, like how to attach a zipper. But I’m happy with the result; it’s original. I added a cute keychain that a friend gave me. I plan to use it tomorrow; it actually turned out quite spacious. *'Don’t compare yourself to others, only to yourself. That way, you’ll have reasons to be happy with your work,'* says a wise book. **-Ffyn.**
