Entre la diversidad de actividades que realizo para generar ingresos, la fundamental es la de ayudar a los chicos liceístas con sus trabajos de inglés. Cuando llegan las vacaciones se me dificulta el poder generar los ingresos suficientes. Así que este año, cuando mis alumnos me dijeron a finales de julio - “Chao, profe, nos vemos en octubre, felices vacaciones” comencé a pensar qué hacer, ya que comúnmente dicto cursos vacacionales de música en la Biblioteca Pública de mi localidad, en el horario de la tarde - ya que en vacaciones los chicos quieren dormir hasta tarde – pero aplicaron un cambio de horario, cierran a mediodía y ya no tengo esa opción que me “salvó” en los años anteriores.
Así que preparé el contenido para dar un taller online via WhatsApp de Lenguaje Musical (Teoría de la música) que permitiera a los participantes leer partituras sencillas en tres meses, con dos clases semanales de dos horas académicas cada una. La inscripción de 10$ y una cuota semanal de 5$ era bastante asequible a casi cualquier bolsillo.
Tenía el aval de la Biblioteca para el certificado final y un gran optimismo, así que anuncié que el número de participantes era máximo de 10 y que no aceptaría ni uno más.
Bueno… me tocó aceptar 9 menos porque me llegó una sola estudiante. Una doctora que vive en la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo, a una distancia de unos 72 km de Villa de Cura, en el estado Aragua, donde resido.
Comencé con este “10%” de los estudiantes que pensaba tener…!!! Pero no me podía dar el dudoso lujo de decir… "Vamos a esperar que lleguen más" porque ¿Y si no llegaban?
Bien, preparé toda la parte teórica, la doctora tenía una flauta dulce que no sabía tocar y con ella le enseñé la parte básica de la lectura musical y ya interpreta con la flauta leyendo en partitura melodías sencillas.
No me limité a esto sino que como valor agregado, al final de cada clase le pasaba varios video s de Youtube.com en una sección que llamé “El Regalito Musical” de piezas emblemáticas que tuvieran que ver con el tema visto ese día y de esas poco conocidas… también había la sección de cine y cuando, por ejemplo, le hablé acerca de las voces femeninas y masculinas y le conté acerca de “I castrati” – tema que ella ignoraba totalmente – le compartí el link para que viera la película completa sobre la vida de [Farinelli]( https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farinelli)
El próximo miércoles 2 de octubre concluimos el curso. Ella hará una exposición de lo aprendido y tocará con la flauta leyendo la partitura de la pieza “Blowin’ in the wind” y le enviaré su certificado.
Quedé muy satisfecha y a ella le gustó mucho el curso y va a hacer el segundo nivel de Teoría de la Música, esta vez agregaremos solfeo y el aprendizaje del teclado.
Por supuesto, va sola para ese segundo nivel porque se “gradúa” sola del primero.
De acá el titulo del post “¿Qué hacer cuando el logro de tu emprendimiento no se acerca siquiera a tus expectativas?”. En mi caso no tengo otra opción sino la de continuar adelante.
Ahora, al ella pasar a un segundo nivel, voy a abrir nuevamente el primer nivel. Como tengo cuenta en PayPal se pueden inscribir personas de habla hispana de cualquier parte del mundo y se me ocurrió una estrategia que voy a implementar… de si tiene éxito o no les estaré hablando en su momento:
Le dije que abriría nuevamente el Taller Nivel 1 y que si ella me conseguía un alumno se ganaría media beca para su taller y si por su recomendación se inscribían dos tendría la beca completa y haría los tres meses del nivel 2 en forma totalmente gratuito. Por supuesto, hice la salvedad de que si “a mitad de camino” su recomendado se retiraba del curso ella tendría que comenzar a pagar.
Se que me recomendará con gusto porque está muy satisfecha de la enseñanza recibida.
Espero que todo salga bien… es decir, que salga mejor esta vez. Mi idea es hacer ese primer nivel solo de Teoría de la Música de dos meses con dos clases semanales (16 clases) y luego, un segundo y tercer nivel continuando con teoría, agregando Solfeo y el aprendizaje inicial de uno de estos instrumentos: Guitarra popular, Cuatro venezolano acompañante, flauta dulce o teclado.
Por cierto, estoy promocionando la rifa de un cupo para dicho taller Nivel 1, pero esto no es ya para generar ingresos para mí, sino para colaborar con la intervención quirúrgica de Samantha, una perrita que tiene cáncer y debe ser operada con urgencia. En este caso para la rifa doy el pago móvil de la familia de la perrita pero me envían el capture a mí para saber qué número han comprado…
